Traveling Papers (CSM attn Sarah)
Though most thought he was dead and he had secluded himself away from everyone that might want to finish the job, he wasn't without information sources. Different ones then he had before he had been shot, but he still had tentacles out into all the agencies. And another reserved just for keeping track of his daugther. He had meant it originally for her safety, but now he also had to keep track of what she was doing proffessionally.

After reading a few emails, he picked up the phone again to call Sarah. She was going to be taking a little trip to New Mexico, it seemed.....

The phone rang loudly, echoing throughout the quaint four bedroom house in Alexandria. Sarah, who was busy giving the girls a bath at the time, sighed when she heard it ring.

"Ok, you three finish up while I answer the phone. And don't forget to wash your necks," she said as she stood and dried her soapy hands off with a towel.

Quickly she ran to the table beside the sofa and picked up the phone before the machine got it.

"Hello," He let the slightest of smiles touch his lips at the sound of Sarah's voice. "Did I call at a bad time?"

"Oh! No, not at all!" She replied sounding a bit surprised that he would call like this. "The girls are just getting their bath." Sarah rubbed her free hand on her pants, trying to dry it more before sitting down on the couch.

"I have an assignment for you," He cleared his throat as he picked up his pack of cigarettes. Pausing for a moment to draw one out and light the tip of it, he breathed in the tobacco and then let out a cloud of light blue smoke. "You're going to New Mexico. Mulder and Scully have been called in to investigate a series of cattle mutulations. My daughter will be with them."

"I didn't think it would be this soon," she said with her brows quirked, "but, alright. I'll fly out first thing in the morning." Though, because of it being a last minute thing she had no one to watch the girls for her. "I need someone to watch the girls though." She sighed and rubbed her forehead.

"I'll make sure a governeness will be available." He replied. "And Sarah...it's important they don't get to the bottom of the case, but try not to arouse their suspicions."

Sarah nodded, even though he couldn't see her do so. "Don't worry. It will be taken care of. I still have a few tricks up my sleeve."

"I knew I could count on you." He smiled slightly. "Give me a call when you get in. I'll leave you to bath time for now..."

"Thanks. And I will call you as soon as the plane lands, promise," she replied also smiling just a tad. "Bye for now..."

"Goodbye..." He said before replacing the phone into it's cradle.
